Dr Methley gained her Bachelor of Science (BSc Hons) and Master of Research (MRes) in Psychology degrees at Bangor University. She moved to the University of Manchester to complete her Doctorate in Philosophy (PhD) investigating health care services for people with multiple sclerosis, during which time she also worked as an Assistant Psychologist at the Walton Centre NHS FT. She completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (ClinPsyD) at the University of Manchester. Since qualifying Dr Methley now works as a Clinical Psychologist in Neuropsychology on stroke rehabilitation and neurorehabilitation wards, supporting people with neurological conditions and their families. Her research focuses on psychological and neuropsychological aspects of multiple sclerosis and brain tumour.
