Clinical Interests
Charlotte treats general neurosurgical conditions including degenerative spine, peripheral nerve compression and benign tumours. She specialises in skull base conditions including vestibular schwannoma, meningioma and trigeminal neuralgia.
Professional Profile
Charlotte qualified from Barts & The London School of Medicine & Dentistry (University of London) in 2001. She holds her MBBS, a first class honours BSc in experimental pathology, a PhD in Clinical Medical Sciences (Neurogenetics) and the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in Neurological Surgery (FRCS). She completed her pre-registration house jobs in Southend, her basic surgical training in Basildon and Romford. Her higher surgical training in neurosurgery was on the South Thames rotation through King's London, St Georges London and Haywards Heath. Following completion of her training she undertook a 1 year fellowship at Salford Royal in skull base surgery. She took up her consultant post in Salford Royal in 2013. She has been Clinical Lead of the department since 2016.
Research Interests
Charlotte is currently Principal Investigator in a trial comparing dural sealants.
