Professional Profile

Dr Chen completed his Psychology BSc (First class) at the University of Edinburgh, where he won the British Psychological Society Award and came first in his year. He holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Oxford and the Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Neuropsychology with distinction from the University of Glasgow.

Research Interests

Dr Chen has clinical specialties and research interests in differential diagnostic assessments, dementias, and degenerative conditions, in particular Parkinson’s disease, Atypical Parkinsonian disorders, Motor Neurone Disease, idiopathic Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus, Deep Brain Stimulation, and Adult Inherited Metabolic Diseases. He is a member of special interest groups working in Deep Brain Stimulation surgery, British Inherited Metabolic Diseases, and Motor Neurone Disease.
