The Neurovascular Service at Salford Royal is one of the busiest in the UK for the diagnosis and treatment of vascular diseases of the brain and spinal cord.
It is a leading UK centre for Neurovascular research and it co-ordinates the National Neurovascular Subarachnoid Haemorrhage Database.
For the past 10 years Neurosurgeons and Neuro-interventionists have collaborated and treated more than 3000 patients. The service specialises in the management of complex vascular disorders including aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, dural AV fistulae, cavernomas, intracerebral haemorrhage and Moya Moya Disease.
The clinicians and researchers work closely with the Salford Royal academic and clinical Stroke Service to provide an integrated vascular service.
