Dr Oliver Harrison

Dr Harrison studied at the University of Nottingham and graduated in 2006. He completed his training in anaesthesia with a subspecialty of neuroanaesthesia in the North West and became a consultant in 2015. He also completed a six month fellowship in prehospital and retrieval medicine in Sydney, Australia during his training. Dr Harrison regularly anaesthetises patients for major spinal surgery and skull base neurosurgery. As a consultant working for the North West Air Ambulance Dr Harrison also has a specialist interest in prehospital emergency medicine, including the acute management of patients with traumatic brain injury and safe delivery of prehospital emergency anaesthesia. He is also a member of the senior medical team overseeing the clinical governance of the Air Ambulance.

I treat general neurosurgical conditions including degenerative spine and benign tumours, as well as being regularly on call for emergency neurosurgery, such as head injury. My subspecialty interest is skull base surgery, which includes conditions such as vestibular schwannomas, skull base meningiomas and trigeminal neuralgia.
